WIPO Sub-Regional Seminar on Copyright in the Digital Age will take place on 4 and 5 April 2017 in Budapest. The program will cover the economic relevance of copyright, the concept and right of communication to the public, online access to legal content and right holder’s remuneration, online use of out of commerce works as well as copyright exceptions and limitations in the digital age. The sessions will be in English and Hungarian with simultaneous translation. Attendance is free, but register by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before 24 March 2017. The New Era of Trade Secret Law: The DTSA and other Developments conference will be taking place on 21 April 2017 at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. The conference will cover among other topics the valuation of trade secrets, the intersection of trade secrets and IPRs, litigation of trade secrets and ethics panel on the obligation of Law firms for protecting client’s secrets. Innovation and Competition in Life Sciences Law conference will take place on 9 June 2017 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel. The conference will discuss among other topics the regulatory framework for promoting innovation in the pharmaceutical sector, the misuse of the patent system, whether Competition Law limits to R&D Cooperation, licensing, clinical data and personal data. The WIPO-WTO Colloquium for Teachers and Researchers of Intellectual Property will be taking place from 19 until 30 June 2017 in Geneva. The Colloquium is addressed to IP teachers from developing countries and economies in transition. Case studies, teaching experience, and methodologies will be discussed.
